Isolux Corsán is investing in the development of renewable energies, as part of its commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and the environment.
Isolux Corsán is one of the major companies world-wide in the construction of photovoltaic solar power plants. In just three years, it has accumulated a total installed capacity of 270 MW in over 30 large-scale plants in Europe. Of all these, the largest is the Rovigo plant, executed in a record eight months and with a total installed capacity of 72 MW.
The company provides the complete range of EPC services, including the development of photovoltaic facilities, with corresponding guarantees, and then the subsequent operation and maintenance.
Its key target markets outside Europe are India, Canada and the USA, with a special focu on Latin America.
The company operates turnkey projects, starting with the construction design and then commissioning of wind farms and subsequently continuing with maintenance services. The key examples of such projects are in Cova da Serpe (50MW), in Galicia (Spain), and Loma Blanca (200 MW) in Trelew (Argentina).
Isolux Corsán is investing in biofuels as another source of renewable energy, taking a two-prong approach to the area. It carries out turnkey projects to construct production plants, such as the industrial complex in Meta (Colombia) which includes a bioethanol plant with a capacity for 2,100,000 tonnes of cane per year, supplemented by a 50-NW electrical cogeneration plant fired by cane residues.
It is also involved in the production and sale of bio-diesel, through its subsidiary Infinita Renovables. The company has two biodiesel production plants in Ferrol and in Castellón (Spain). Their total output capacity is 900,000 tonnes per year.
