Global Pact

During 2010, Isolux Corsán became a formal signatory to the United Nations Global Pact. This marked its recognition of the Group's determination to accept a voluntary commitment to implement the 10 principles governing this compact's mission with the Group. 

 Since then the Group undertakes to present an annual progress report describing the efforts made to carry out the Principles signed as part of its commitment to responsibility and public transparency and in accordance with the Global Compact’s Progress Policy:    .

  1. Support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights.
  2. Ensure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
  3. Uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.
  4. Eliminate of all forms of forced and compulsory labour.
  5. Abolish of child labour.
  6. Eliminate of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
  7. Support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges.
  8. Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.
  9. Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies. 
  10.  Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery

Summary of the most significant actions:

  • Renewal of the Group’s Commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, through a document signed by our CEO.
  • Promotion of a greater number of training programmes.
  • Promotion of diversity Integration policies.
  • Furthering geographical mobility.
  • Development of corporate tools which facilitate communication and global management.
  • Performance of projects with great environmental challenges: construction of 1,191 km of transmission lines in the heart of the Amazon forest, protecting the area’s natural resources.
  • Promoting renewable energy projects.
  • Furthering R&D&I, with projects in key areas for today’s society such as purification of wastewaters and occupational risk prevention.
