Isolux Corsán is a company specialising in large infrastructure construction and concessions in the areas of energy, civil engineering, environment and facilities. It has a track record of over 80 years' experience, operating in more than 30 countries on four continents.
The group has a backlog of €43.11 Bn, of which 77% come from its international projects.
The diversification of its activity and the determined focus on increasing it international market are key elements in Isolux Corsán's growth strategy. The company has a multicultural and multilingual staff of over 8,000 professionals from 43 different nationalities.
It manages and constructs 1,610 km of toll roads under concession agreements in four countries (Spain, India, Brazil and Mexico). The Group is also a benchmark world-wide in the high-voltage power distribution market, with over 5,533 kilometers of lines under concession in Brazil, India and the United States.
It is a major power producer in the world market, with an installed capacity of 173 MWp on ground- and roof-mounted photovoltaic power farms, which generated 245 GWh in 2011, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of a town of 55,000 inhabitants. These power farms are designed to remain efficiently productive for between 20 and 25 years.
The company is also an international benchmark in building EPC photovoltaic plants, with an installed capacity built in the last four years of 290 MW. Apart from its PV business, the group plays a vital role in the construction and commissioning of all kinds of electrical generation plants: open cycle, combined cycle, cogeneration, coal-fired, wind-driven, photovoltaic, biomass and hydraulic. To date, it has executed projects providing over 3,000 MW.
