Over 6,000 people from four continents work together for Isolux Corsán in a multilingual and multicultural environment. This is what regional diversification of our businesses throughout the world really means to our staff.
The group's objective is to harness this multicultural wealth and bring in new people in new strategic markets as our business grows there.
The enormous growth in Isolux Corsán's international business over the last few years has encouraged the company to seek out more candidates to serve its new markets. It needs employees who are able to adapt to different cultures. This does not just mean language skills, but also the ability to keep on evolving in order to play an active role in state-of-the-art projects all over the world. Our people must be motivated to learn from and share high levels of technical know-how with colleagues of all nationalities.
Such cultural adaptation requires operational changes too. This Group recognised that this was one of the greatest challenges in its internationalisation strategy and decided to consistently involve local people from each country in which it operates.
This effort to take advantage of local know-how in its working teams has already borne fruit. 82% of total contracts awarded now come from the international market. The work done by Isolux Corsán's management during 2010 has also enabled the group to increase its EBITDA by 22%.
