428 Km of T&D in Kenya - Kenya | Africa

Isolux Corsán is building the longest power transmission and distribution line in Kenya for the company Ketraco, which reports to the Kenyan Ministry of Energy. It will be 428 km long and is designed for a voltage of 400 Kv.

The longest transmission and distribution line in Kenya.

This EPC contract is worth €142m, and will make it possible to upload the power output of the wind farm with the largest installed capacity in all of the African continent (300 MW), which will soon be built in northern Kenya, close to Lake Turkana.

The new high-voltage line will link Loyangalani, close to the Lake, to the town of Suswa, on the outskirts of the capital, Nairobi. This will mean that various geothermal plants that will be located along that trajectory will be able to upload their output in the future.
