EDAR Campo Limpo - | America

Description

The wastewater treatment plant Campo Limpo, located in the state of Sao Paulo (Brazil), has a treatment capacity of 560 l/sec, expandable to 830 l/sec, and is designed to meet the needs of a population of about 250,000.

The treatment process used in this treatment plant, which serves the cities of Campo Limpo Paulista and Varzea combines two lines of upflow biological anaerobic reactors with sludge blanket (UASB) and subsequent refining, with an activated sludge system sequentially in three stages (RFA). The methane gas generated in the UASB is removed by combustion.

The project was completed with the execution of two wastewater drives and a collection network of 25 km long.
