Road corridor number 4 of the Argentine road network - Argentina | America

Description

Isolux Corsán has been awarded the toll concession for the construction, improvement, repair, conservation, remodelling, maintenance, administration and operation of Corredor Vial 4, Road Corridor number 4 in the national road network in Argentina.

The corridor is 1,069 km long. It comprises the routes RN-34, RN-19, RN-18 and RN-38 and has a scheduled capex of €405m. 

The roads have one lane in either direction, except for Route 19, which will have two. The infrastructure is scheduled to be inaugurated at the end of 2011

The contract covers 49 engineering works, 29 infrastructure reconditioning projects (basically resurfacing and road-safety enhancement operations) and 20 new projects, where the RN-34 will be turned into a dual carriageway in the section from PK 13.95 to PK 259.7, including the branch road to the town of Rafaela.

The programme also includes other minor works, such as improving and refurbishing the accesses to towns, vertical and horizontal signage and changeable message panels.
