Isolux Corsán builds the 4-lane Perote-Xalapa toll road, 60 km long, to free up traffic flows and reduce transport times and costs between the cities of Mexico FD and the port of Veracruz, one of the busiest in the country.
Fast, safe communication between Mexico FD and the port of Veracruz.
This toll road, one of Isolux Corsán's flagship engineering feats in Mexico, is seen as the fastest, safest alternative for drivers between these two locations. Its construction incorporates viaducts and unique structures, such as the 346-m long tunnel, whose section is 180 metres square. It also includes a viaduct that is 470 metres long and 114 metres high.
The total budget for the works, including the latest scope increases approved by the Mexican Secretary of Communications and Transports, is €625m. After the works finalise (scheduled for December 2012), Isolux Corsán will manage this infrastructure for 45 years under a government concession.
