Section 5 of Highway I-69 - USA | America

Description

Isolux Corsan is making the construction of section 5 of the I-69 Evansville-Indianapolis. The section runs between Bloomington (Monroe County, IN) and southern Martinsville (Moran County, IN), along 21 miles of the current state road SR-37.

The main objective of the project is to adapt the SR-37 to the norms of interstate highways. The works are divided into three zones.

In Zone 1, which stretches from the beginning of the section to the intersection with SR-46 road, rising one lane in each direction, rehabilitation and pavement strengthening and widening of shoulders will be performed.

Zone 2 takes up the new link Sample Road and works focus on increasing one lane in each direction, rehabilitation and pavement strengthening and broadening shoulders.

Finally, Zone 3, which corresponds to the last section, has among its main improvements rehabilitation, pavement strengthening and broadening shoulders, as well as rehabilitation or expansion of 19 existing structures and the construction of 12 new structures.
