The Chilina bridge - Perú | America

Description

The Chilina Bridge  allows saving the Chili River and the valley of the same, having a width in the area of 500 m and a depth of about 50 m. The Chilina bridge will relieve traffic density along five districts of Miraflores, Cayma, cheerful jungle Alto, Yanahuara and Cayma 

The bridge is the longest in Peru with 563 metres

The bridge, which is the longest in Peru with 563 meters, consist of six lanes and 40 metre pillars.

The earthworks, foundations and platforms were performed during the first three months and required heavy equipment (crane) brought from abroad to build each branch segment.

This infrastructure is an important element to help relieve the heavy traffic in the Arequipa region by 80%. .
