This is the first large solar PV project in Latin America and the first one that T-Solar has implemented in this region. With an investment of $165 million, this project was awarded to the company in 2010 by the Government of Peru as part of a 20-year contract for the supply of solar energy produced in the Arequipa region.

The "Repartición" and "Majes" plants were connected to the national power grid in Peru in July 2012 and produce 80 GWh per year, enough electricity to supply a population of 80,000 inhabitants.
