Restoration of the old Aduana Taylor building - Argentina | America

Isolux Corsán has restored and enhanced  the former structure of the Taylor Customs House to convert it into the Casa Rosada Museum and the New Buenos Aires Customs House (Argentina), giving the city a first-class cultural centre.

Conversion from historic customs building to a museum in Buenos Aires.

In this project, Isolux Corsán has struck a balance to make the construction work compatible with restoration activities and the necessary archaeological interventions to shore up the foundations of the existing structure and safeguard other culturally valuable finds.

The new building, which attracts large numbers of visitors, includes museum rooms, administration and services, as well as an area devoted exclusively to the exhibition of the "Ejercicio plástico" mural, the work of Mexican painter David Alfaro Siqueiros.  This mural, painted in 1933, was listed as part of the country's historical-artistic heritage in 2003.
